1. Controller and data processor

HIRECHANNEL, S.L. (Calle Córsega 301, 7th floor, door 1, 08029 Barcelona, Spain; Tax ID (NIF): B88755822; registered with the Commercial Registry of Barcelona; contact: hello@hirechannel.com) acts in two capacities:

  • Data Controller for business clients, corporate users, contacts, and billing data arising from contractual relationships, as well as for visitors of this marketing site.
  • Data Processor for candidate and applicant data handled within selection processes carried out on behalf of client companies, pursuant to Article 28 GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018.

2. Processing purposes

Business client management and platform access. Names, professional contact details, company information, IP addresses, encrypted credentials, and billing data. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Data is retained for the term of the contract and the applicable legal limitation periods.

Recruitment services. Candidate names, contact information, CVs, interview and assessment data, communication records, automatically generated scores, and interaction data. The client company is the controller of this data; Hirechannel processes it only following the client's documented instructions under Article 28 GDPR. Where the service generates scores, they reflect the alignment of responses with client-defined competencies and do not determine hiring decisions. Data is retained according to the client's instructions.

Customer support. Contact and communication data used to resolve technical issues. Legal basis: legitimate interest in delivering a quality service.

Commercial communications. Professional email addresses used for platform updates and industry resources, with an option to withdraw at any time. Legal basis: consent or, for existing clients, legitimate interest.

Platform improvement. Aggregated, anonymized usage data for analytics and product development. Candidate data is not used to train, fine-tune, or otherwise enhance artificial intelligence models.

3. Artificial intelligence

Hirechannel transcribes and analyses responses and generates competency scores based exclusively on parameters defined by the client. Clients must ensure that final hiring decisions involve human supervision and validation and are not based solely on automated scores.

Candidates may request human intervention and an explanation from the responsible company (their prospective employer).

Transparency notices are provided before any automated interaction, in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Regulation.

4. Recipients

Hirechannel does not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed to:

  • Government agencies (legal obligations).
  • Law enforcement and courts (investigations and proceedings).
  • Artificial-intelligence model providers (under Standard Contractual Clauses and Article 28 agreements).
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, in connection with the analytics and advertising cookies described in Section 9, where you have consented.
  • Authorized subprocessors (subject to prior written approval).

Transfers outside the EEA are made with appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR standards, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

4a. WhatsApp Business Platform

Hirechannel processes WhatsApp Business messages on behalf of connected businesses via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). This integration is used solely to send and receive messages between recruiters and candidates within the scope of active recruitment processes, and does not involve any other use of message content.

5. Rights

Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection by contacting hello@hirechannel.com or the Barcelona address above.

Candidates should contact their prospective employer (the responsible controller). Complaints may be filed with Spain's Data Protection Authority (www.aepd.es) or, for matters relating to artificial intelligence, the Spanish AI Supervision Agency (www.aesia.digital.gob.es).

6. Security measures

Technical and organizational measures pursuant to Article 32 GDPR protect the integrity of the data and prevent unauthorized access. Logical data segregation between clients prevents cross-access.

7. Processor obligations

Hirechannel commits to acting only on documented instructions, maintaining confidentiality, implementing appropriate safeguards, limiting subcontracting, assisting with data-subject-rights requests, supporting impact assessments, and deleting or returning data once the service ends (except where retention is legally required).

8. Minors

The services are intended for professional recruitment only. Hirechannel does not knowingly process data of minors under 18. Any minor's data that is detected is deleted immediately.

9. Cookies

This marketing site does not set any cookies required for it to function. With your consent, we use analytics and advertising cookies — including Meta tools used to measure our advertising — to understand site usage and improve the product. These cookies are blocked until you give consent and are released only for the categories you accept. The Hirechannel application (used after sign-in) is on a separate subdomain and has its own cookie policy.

10. Policy updates

Hirechannel reserves the right to modify this policy in response to legislative or judicial changes, with reasonable advance notice.
